CD Projekt Red has just dropped update 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077; it might be a big one. From major AI tweaks to immersive new metro options, this patch adds even more layers of realism and replayability to Night City. Here's some of what's to spot in 2.3.

Ride the NCart
The previously 'just for looks' metro system is now fully operational.
19 fast-travel metro stations are now usable in real-time
You can ride the train, soak in the city views, switch carriages, or just take in the vibes like a true citizen of Night City.
It’s a small but game-changing immersion boost that makes Night City feel alive again.
MaxTac Encounters
Remember MaxTac, the overpowered (rarely-seen) police force? In 2.3, they’re fully operational.
Trigger a 5-star heat level and watch them swoop in via AVs with high-powered gear and relentless AI.
Each MaxTac encounter now feels like a mini-boss fight. And yes, they’ve got their own combat tactics and squad hierarchy.
It finally gives the wanted system some real teeth.
AI Smarter Than Ever
Pedestrian & traffic AI has been improved to respond more realistically to chaos.
Combat AI for gang members has also been fine-tuned — expect smarter flanks, better cover use, and more unpredictable fights.
You’ll definitely notice a bump in realism when causing trouble on the streets.
Bug Fixes & More
New options to reset perk points in-game (no more needing a separate mod or vendor).
Accessibility improvements: You can now auto-switch sprint to toggle mode, hide crosshairs in non-combat, and more.
Phantom Liberty quest fixes: Including smoother quest progressions and bug squashing for key scenes.
Still Evolving
Even long after release, Cyberpunk 2077 is evolving into the game fans dreamed of back in 2020. Update 2.3 makes Night City feel alive, not just because of what’s added, but because of what’s improved.
If you’ve been waiting for “the right time” to revisit the game or try Phantom Liberty, this update is it.
Update 2.3 doesn’t just fix, it evolves. With smarter AI, immersive transit, and genuinely intimidating MaxTac heat, Night City feels more dangerous, unpredictable, and alive than ever.
So… you hopping on the NCART, or running from MaxTac first?
